7 Mistakes You’re Making with Liberia Airport Transportation (and How to Fix Them)

Most airport-transfer problems are easier to prevent before the flight. Check these seven points when planning transportation from Liberia Guanacaste Airport (LIR).

1. Waiting until landing to arrange a ride

Pre-book your service and save the written confirmation. Know the price, service type, pickup instructions, and your contact number before you leave home.

2. Booking the wrong service type

Private and shared rides work differently. Private transportation is reserved for your party and can be coordinated around the flight. Shared transportation departs at a confirmed time, may have other stops, and requires a minimum of two passengers with our service.

3. Omitting the flight number

Provide your airline and flight number, not only the scheduled landing time. We monitor private arrivals so we can coordinate changes if the flight is delayed. Ask about the specific shared-service policy if your arrival is close to departure time.

4. Guessing the meeting point

Our private-arrival representative waits outside the terminal with a sign bearing the passenger name. For a confirmed shared booking, follow its meeting instructions; our usual shared point is the Restaurant Imperial bench near the main entrance.

5. Forgetting the exact hotel or rental address

Give the destination name and address and check that it appears correctly on your confirmation. This matters especially where multiple hotels share a brand or a beach name.

6. Leaving out luggage and equipment

Mention the number of suitcases, child seats, surfboards, golf clubs, and any larger items. This allows us to assign suitable space and explain applicable equipment charges.

7. Planning a return too tightly

Distance on a map does not capture traffic or airport check-in time. Give us your departure flight details so we can suggest a pickup window from your hotel.
